Line breaks & spaces
Strip out unwanted line breaks and join your text into a single clean paragraph, or clean up messy double spaces.
Line breaks & spaces
When you copy text from a PDF, an email, a chat message or a narrow column on a website, it often arrives broken into many short lines, with a line break jammed into the middle of almost every sentence. Pasting that into a document looks messy and is annoying to fix by hand. This tool removes those unwanted line breaks and rejoins your text into one smooth, continuous paragraph in a single click.
Many documents store a hard line break at the end of every visible line instead of letting text flow naturally. PDFs are the worst offender because each line is positioned individually. Email clients and code or terminal windows do the same. When you copy from these sources, all those invisible breaks come along for the ride.
The tool gives you two options. Remove line breaks replaces every break with a single space, collapsing everything into one paragraph — best when you want continuous text. Clean extra spaces keeps your paragraph structure but removes double spaces and trailing spaces, so it tidies without merging. If you merge too much, just press Undo.
